About Rotterdam

Rotterdam has by far the largest port in Europe. In 2020, no less than 436.8 million tons of goods were transhipped. The harbour is bustling with activity and a cruise is the best way to see it all up close. In terms of inhabitants, Rotterdam has been the second-largest city in the Netherlands for many years. Besides being- a port city, Rotterdam also has an important regional function in the field of shopping, culture, education and work. In recent years, Rotterdam has developed enormously in the field of tourism. An important element in this is emphasizing its unique character instead of naming what Rotterdam doesn't have. The lack of medieval streets and buildings is more than compensated for by beautiful examples of modern architecture, excellent restaurants, pleasant hotels and fun attractions.

Rotterdam has lots to offer, some of the highlights you can't miss:

• You can visit the port, at FutureLand. Or visit the harbour and the historic area of Delfshaven with Spido or Watertaxi.
• Some excellent bridges: Erasmusbrug, Rode Willemsbrug, and Koningshavenbrug.
• Beautiful architecture the city is famous for, for example, visit the cube houses in Blaak.
• Rotterdam has a bustling art and museum scene. Visit the Boymans van Beuningen and de Kunsthal.
